Exporting Blocks

Exporting blocks in MSCAD involves saving them as external files that can be reused in other drawings or shared with collaborators. Here’s how you can export a block in MSCAD:

  1. Identify the block:

    • Locate the block you want to export. To identify the block within the drawing, you would go to Insert tab on the top of content ribbon, and locate Create New Block.

    • There is a dropdown on that command, select it and click on Save Block to Disk. This will prompt you to save the block to your local drive.
  2. Export Block:

    • Once you clicked on that command, a box will pop up asking which block to export and its destination location. You can also export the entire drawing as a block by changing the source option.
